The Superintendent Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, regulatory compliance, and professional practice of the pharmacy. The role ensures adherence to all legal and ethical standards, supervises staff, manages inventory, and maintains high-quality pharmaceutical services in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

●      Serve as the legally recognized head of the pharmacy.

●      Ensure full compliance with regulations set by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and other relevant authorities.

●      Oversee procurement, storage, dispensing, and distribution of medications.

●      Maintain proper documentation and statutory records.

●      Supervise pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.

Requirements

●      Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D.

●      Fully registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.

●      Valid annual practicing license.

●      Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC qualification experience (retail, hospital, or pharmaceutical setting).

●      Must meet PCN requirements to act as Superintendent Pharmacist.

●      Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge.
