The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to security incidents

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Monitoring

  • Patrol the premises regularly to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
  • Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly secured.

2. Access Control

  • Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Verify identification and maintain visitor logs.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.

3. Incident Response

  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
  • Report security breaches, theft, vandalism, or safety hazards.
  • Coordinate with management or law enforcement when necessary.

4. Customer Service & Assistance

  • Provide directions and assistance to visitors and staff.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Record daily security activities and incidents in logbooks.
  • Prepare reports for unusual incidents or security concerns.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security services is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of security procedures and surveillance systems.
