We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliation Account Officer to join our team in Ibadan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records by performing regular account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented
- Reconcile bank statements with internal records
- Prepare reconciliation reports and present findings to management
- Monitor accounts to identify irregularities or inconsistencies
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial issues
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all reconciliations
- Support audits by providing required financial data and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
- Experience in financial services or fin tech is a plus
