The Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining records, managing inventory, and providing customer service to ensure safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process prescription orders (written, electronic, or verbal under supervision).
- Prepare and label medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Measure, count, and package medications.
- Maintain patient records and update pharmacy databases.
- Handle insurance claims and billing processes.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking medications.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
Requirements
