Job Summary

A Pharmacy Sales Assistant supports the daily operations of the pharmacy by assisting customers, processing sales, stocking products, and ensuring a clean and organized store. The role involves providing excellent customer service while helping customers find over-the-counter medications, health products, and other pharmacy items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist them in finding pharmacy products.
  • Provide basic information on over-the-counter medications and health products.
  • Process sales transactions using the POS system.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and receipts.
  • Restock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed.
  • Check product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items.
  • Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
  • Assist the pharmacist with inventory checks and stock management.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure all pharmacy policies and regulatory guidelines are followed.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE / High School Diploma (OND or related qualification is an advantage).
  • Previous experience in retail sales or pharmacy assistance is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy products and medications is an advantage.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required.
